German fan discovers “Där du andas” version in English

This week a German fan discovered that there is an English version of “Där du andas” performed by Marie Fredriksson, which is included in what is thought to be the European or International version of the film (or films) “Arn” the Knight.

It has been reported that the DVD, which can be bought via Amazon already, is a combined version of the two Swedish “Arn” films. The song is included, for now, on a Swedish compilation CD.

I’m trying to get more information about the song, I’ll keep you informed.

Marie Fredriksson sings lead song for Swedish movie

Marie Fredriksson will be singing the title song for the upcoming sequel to last year’s “Arn” movie. The song, “Där du andas”, is written by Niklas Strömstedt and Anders Glenmark. Marie was asked to record the song and she says “it was an easy choice to say yes, and of course, it is great to participate in such a big Swedish film.”

“Arn – Tempelriddaren (Arn – The Knight Templar)” is a 2007 epic film based on Jan Guillou’s trilogy about the fictional Swedish Knight Templar Arn Magnusson. The film was released in December 2007 and the sequel, “Arn – Riket vid vägens slut (Arn – The Kingdom at Road’s End),” will be released August 22 , 2008.

This song, as well as several others inspired by Arn, will be released on the album “Alla himlens änglar (All the Angels of Heaven)” on August 27. Anders Glenmark is the producer. The song will be released on July 23.

Other singers include Sonja Aldén, Uno Svenningsson, Helena Paparizou, Tommy Körberg and Fred Johansson. Composers include Anders Glenmark, Niklas Strömstedt, Mauro Scocco, Uno Svenningsson, Tomas Andersson Wij, Patrik Isaksson, Bobby Ljunggren and Eva Dahlgren.

Art exhibition of Marie Fredriksson’s paintings to open on February 8th

Marie will exhibit her new paintings in Kungsträdgården (So Stockholm) starting on Friday, 8th of February. The exhibition is planned to last until the 17th.

Maire’s drawings were already exhibited in 2005 in Stockholm. That time the drawings – which were all sold – were done using black chakcoal. This time we expect to see some of Marie’s paintings in colour.

Once again, an artbook will be available for all to purchase it. Price should be around 400 SEK.
